 In June 2021, Tarun Gupta joined Australia-based Stockland as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Mark Steinert who had been the MD and CEO since 2013. Announcing the appointment of Tarun Gupta, Stockland Chairman Tom Pockett stated, “स्टकल्याण्ड बोर्ड तरुण गुप्तालाई हाम्रो नयाँ प्रबन्ध निर्देशक र प्रमुख कार्यकारी अधिकृतको रूपमा स्वागत गर्न पाउँदा खुसी छ। गुप्तासँग गहिरो व्यावसायिक अनुभव छ र ठूलो सम्पत्ति सञ्चालनको नेतृत्व र व्यवस्थापनमा प्रमाणित ट्र्याक रेकर्ड छ। हामी जान्दछौं कि उहाँ उद्योगमा उच्च सम्मानित हुनुहुन्छ र सम्पत्ति लगानीकर्ताहरू बीच बलियो प्रतिष्ठा छ।"

 

Founded in 1952, Stockland is one of the most diversified property groups in Australia. Today, Stockland owns, develops and manages a comprehensive portfolio of residential communities, retirement living villages, workplace and logistics assets, as well as retain town centres. As per the company, Stockland “leverages its diversified model” towards helping create sustainable communities wherein people might live, shop and work.

While growing up in India, Tarun Gupta lived with family at different places in Uttar Pradesh – including Lucknow, Gonda, Sitapur, Moradabad, and Kanpur – as his father was employed in a transferrable government job. Tarun Gupta studied at St Joseph College, a boarding school in Nainital. Later, Gupta was admitted to DPS Mathura Road School in New Delhi. After graduating from Delhi’s Sri Venkateswara College, Tarun Gupta came to Australia for study abroad. Now, Tarun Gupta lives in Sydney with his wife and two teenaged sons. According to Tarun Gupta, Australia rewards the hard-working and the “sky is the limit for ambitious people” that come to Australia in search of a better future.
